The Owners

Natalie & Rick Samuelson

The current owners of the William Haskell House, Natalie and Rick Samuelson took over ownership in the fall of 2022 from Pam and Fred Grote, whom you can read about on the construction page.

Rick is the 11th great grandson of William Haskell who become interested in his family history after finding the Haskell family tree at an estate sale in Gig Harbor Washington in 2010. He and our son poured through his grandmothers family history notes and found that it was our family tree and from that the passion for our family history was born. In 2016 Rick took our two oldest children to visit and stay at the Haskell House and fell in love with the history of the home. In the spring of 2022 Rick called to make reservations to take the entire family to stay and found the home was for sale, which has led us to become owners of the Inn. Thankfully, we inherited the home in excellent condition thanks to the hard work of the Grotes and their restoration of the home. Our dream is to keep the puritain history alive as well as a place for people to stay at to experience a piece of the Haskell history.
