The William Haskell House is a unique lodging experience. It is fantastic for the person who wants to experience first period living, with some modern conveniences. The old house lover and antique enthusiast will be delighted. However, it may not be for everybody. Please read carefully so that you know what to expect during your visit. We want your stay to be a wonderful and memorable experience.

  • Parlor Chamber

    The Parlor Chamber is the main upstairs bedroom is referred to as the parlor chamber, so named because it is located above the parlor. This room boasts the original paneled walls, exposed post and beam construction, exposed chamfered gunstock posts, summer beam and exposed chimney and end girts. A reproduction, first period, handmade, canopy bed with a queen sized memory foam mattress makes sleeping a comfort. Attached is a private, full bathroom with a shower and a tub. Access to the bathroom is gained through a passageway through an old closet. You might have to duck your head to enter this small bathroom. This bathroom was added in the 1920s and done so, not to disturb the architectural integrity of the original structure. Recently, it was updated.

  • Spinning Room

    We offer an additional room in the Spinning Room with the rental of the Parlor Chamber at an additional cost. This room can be used for additional family members. This room has a shared bathroom that is only accessible through the Parlor Chamber.

  • North Ell

    The North Ell is the second bedroom available to guests is on the main floor. It is located in the 18th century addition called the north ell. This large room has an exposed wooden ceiling. The summer beam, the ceiling joist and the second floor floorboards are exposed. A reproduction early bed, containing a queen sized memory foam mattress, makes sleeping a comfort. The main floor bathroom is attached to the north ell. It is a small bathroom with a shower. Although this is the only bathroom on the first floor, access can be gained without going through the north ell. This is a private bathroom for your use only while staying here.

OTHER SPACES AVAILABLE

In addition to their sleeping quarters, guests have full use of the original house, including the parlor, the hall, and the lean to. Currently, there is no access to the main kitchen for guests.
